OUTFIELD TOUR OPENS THIS WEEK IN SUPPORT OF SECOND ALBUM, "BANGIN'"

"SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE" IS FIRST BULLETED SINGLE AND PROMO VIDEO

Columbia recording group the Outfield, named "Best New Artist of the Year" in Playboy's 1987 Music Poll, starts a major North American tour today in support of their second album, "BANGIN'", released earlier this month. The first leg of the tour (with Night Ranger) begins tonight in Miami and continues through the summer, wrapping up in Memphis on July 26th.

"Since You've Been Gone," the first single from "BANGIN'", debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 four weeks ago and is bulleted inside the top 60. "Since You've Been Gone" is also the subject of a promotional video, which had its exclusive MTV premiere on June 24th. The performance video was produced by Curt Marvis and J. Roewe, and directed by Wayne Isham, whose credits include Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, and most recently, the Judas Priest long-form video for CBS/FOX, "Priest... Live!" which includes "You've Got Another Thing Comin'."

"BANGIN'" once again teams the Outfield - Alan Jackman, Tony Lewis, and John Spinks - with producer William Wittman, who also handled production for "Play Deep", the Outfield's first album - which sold nearly 2 million copies, remained on the charts almost a year and a half, and featured the two hit singles, "All the Love In the World" and "Your Love."
